MERCEDES G550 VS G63 – The Los Angeles Gwagon Rental Comparison

Comparing Mercedes G Class Rental Los Angeles

Comparing Mercedes G Class

Comparing Mercedes G Class Rental Los Angeles at 777 Exotics is powered by a 416 hp, 4.0 L twin-turbo V8 engine and a 610 N.m (450 lb-ft) of torque. This is an upgrade to the 5.5 L, naturally aspirated V8 engine in the 2015 model that could only manage 382 hp with 391 lb-ft. Mercedes G63 on the other hand outshines the G 550 with its newly upgraded 621 hp, twin turbocharged V12 engine, from the 563 hp, 561lb-ft torque in the 2015 model .

Comparing Mercedes G Class The G550 and G63 Engine

Comparing Mercedes G Class

G63 and G550 Performance

G 550 does 0 – 60 mph in less than 5.7 seconds and a quarter-mile in 14.4 seconds at 97 mph. The G 63 model is, however, quicker than the G 550 hitting the 60 mph line in just 4.8 seconds and a quarter-mile in 13.3 seconds at 107 mph. It has a top speed of 130 mph and can brake from 70 mph to 0 in less than 163 feet while the G 550 needs additional 20 feet to stop from 70 mph. The G550 has an economical fuel consumption doing 15 mpg when compared to the G 63’s 13 mpg (owing to its large displacement engine)

SUV Transmission

Just like the G63 rental, G 550 has an All-Wheel drive system with a 7-speed automatic transmission. The G 63’s AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission features AMG shift paddles on the steering wheel and three driving modes with different accelerating and shifting experience. Both have three locking differentials for off-roading.

Suspension and steering on G Class Vehicles

They have live axles and coils up front and in the rear. Both the G 550 and G 63 latest models are equipped with optional driver adjustable dampers and have recirculating-ball type steering system.

Luxury G63 and G550 Interior Options

For the G 63, supportive comfy leather sets which are heated and ventilated are what ushers one in. The white illuminated stainless steel panels with AMG lettering hardly goes unnoticed. The G 63 boasts more than 120 cubic feet of interior space. The state of the art infotainment system has been redesigned to feature a large, center-mounted color display as part of the COMAND system with a multiple DVD player and controllers. The interior access and navigation system has been integrated with special off-road features also made available.

With an extra $ 149, 175, one can get carbon-fiber interior trim, rear seat entertainment systems with dual monitors, purple design mystic blue metallic paint, heated steering wheel, and an all-wheel floor matt. However, the legroom, headroom and the narrow cabin are not that impressive.

For the G 550, the cabin is laced with leather and though narrow, is upright. The infotainment system includes a TFT color display between two round dials and a tablet-style display for the standard COMAND system, merging navigation, entertainment and connectivity functions.

Mercedes G550 Exterior

The G 63 comes with an AMG sports exhaust system, almost similar to G 550’s dual side-exiting exhausts. Just like the G 550, the G 63’s suspension system settings are adjusted for more handling characteristics. It has a twin-blade radiator grill with four chrome inserts. Still on the front, the AMG G 63 bumpers have three large airflow inlets. The new LED daytime running lights are positioned just below the bi-xenon headlights.

The Mercedes SUV Dimensions

The G 63 is 79 pounds heavier weighing 5961 pounds. It is equipped with much larger brakes (14.8 inch and 13.0-inch front and rear rotors respectively) than the G 550’s 12.4 and 10.7 inch rotors due to its 20 inch tires which is an inch larger than what G 550 has.

Ferrari 458 vs Ferrari 488

Ferrari 458 vs Ferrari 488

Ferrari 458 vs Ferrari 488 If you’re not familiar with the Ferrari 488 GTB or Ferrari 458 Italia, one pass from either supercar will get you up to speed real quick. … The Ferrari 488 GTB is the new successor to the incredible Ferrari 458 Italia and comes equipped with a turbocharged unit instead of the traditional.

The 488 is a mid-engine sports car produced by Ferrari and was introduced in 2015 to replace the
previous 458. Both cars adopt 2-door berlin Etta and 2-door spider body styles. The 488 GTB is
one of the hotly anticipated new models to come out of Maranello considering the massive shift
from naturally aspirated engines to the new line of turbocharged Ferrari engines.

The 488 GTB name marks the return to the classic Ferrari model designation with the 488 in its
moniker indicating the engine’s unitary displacement, while the GTB stands for Gran Turismo
Berlin Etta. The car not only delivers unparalleled performance but also makes that extreme
power exploitable and controllable to an unprecedented level even by less expert drivers. An
exceptional engine and sophisticated aerodynamics combined with refined vehicle aerodynamics
controls, radically improve the already razor-sharp responsiveness of Ferrari’s to near struck

Ferrari 458 vs Ferrari 488
Ferrari Technical Specifications

Ferrari 458 Italia has a power to weight ratio of 2.61 kg per horsepower. Its official 0-100 km/h
(62 mph) acceleration is 2.9 – 3.0 seconds. The top speed is 340 km/h (210 mph) and has a fuel
consumption in combined cycle of 13.3 L/100km while producing 307 g/km of CO2.
On the other hand, the 488 GTB has a weight to power ratio of 2.2 kg per horsepower. The
claimed manufacturer performance is 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.0 seconds, 0 – 200 km/h (124
mph) in 8.3 seconds. It has a top speed in excess of 330 km/h (205 mph) and produces 260 g/km
of CO2.

Unquestionably, the biggest change for the 488 GTB is the new engine that resides under its
sculpted body work. Gone is the 4.5 L, 570 PS (419 kW; 562 hp), high revving, naturally
aspirated V8 engine and in its place sits the new 3.9 L twin-turbo, 670 PS (493 kW; 661 hp). The
458 attains a torque of 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) at 3250 rpm while the 488 gets the massive 760 Nm
(561 lb-ft) of torque at just 3000 rpm.

Both models feature a dual-clutch 7-speed Getrag gearbox.

Interior Design
A cursory glance at the interiors of both cars might suggest little has changed, however, a closer
look will reveal that the 488 has meticulously refreshed plenty inside. All the switchgear, apart
from the steering wheel and for the climate control, has been restyled and the center console
simplified. The newly shaped vents flank the instrument binnacle which itself gets redesigned
graphics for the infotainment system and performance data screens.

The air vents are less bulky and vertical, while the console between the seats has been replaced
with a central one.

Exterior Design
The body of the 488 GTB has been redesigned to increase downforce by 50 % over the 458
Italia, while reducing drag. The new front double splitter serves to increase radiator cooling by
forcing air into them and also channeling air over the underbody vortex generators and in the

Ferrari 458 vs Ferrari 488process creates a ground effect without adding drag. Another thing to note also is the newly
designed blown rear spoiler integrated into the rear deck lid and bumper which increases
downforce without requiring a raised wing.

The increased size of the rear diffuser over its predecessor increases the velocity of the air
exiting the underbody to further lower the air pressure in conjunction with the active
aerodynamic flaps that both reduce drag and increase downforce.

The flexible vanes in the front grille of the 458 have gone in favor of a more gaping intake with a
fixed splitter. The lighting units have been subtly redesigned and the bonnet now houses two big
air vents to improve air flow over the car. With all these, however, the fundamental layout of the
488 GTB has not changed that much from the 458 Italia.

The wheelbase, length, width and height of the 458 are 2650 mm, 4527 mm, 1937 mm and 1213
mm respectively against 488’s 2650 mm, 4568 mm, 1952 mm and 1213 mm. With a 1370 kg dry
weight, the 488 GTB is 10 kg lighter than the 458 Italia, and while it’s a little longer and wide,
the overall resemblance is obvious.

Choosing between the two comes down to what you are looking for in your Ferrari road car. If
you love the roar of a naturally aspirated Ferrari engine, you might want to explore the 458 Italia.
If speed is your true desire, the Ferrari 488 GTB will delight.

Lamborghini has become synonymous with exotic supercars, but the most eye-catching models currently are the Lamborghini Aventador vs Huracan . Both of them are supercars in their capacities and their presence puts the rest of the sports cars, within their ranks, to shame.

The Aventador has been engineered to revolutionize the concept of performance and establish a new benchmark in the segment of super sports cars. As Lamborghini puts it, the innovation in the Aventador takes the house of the raging bulls to yet another unexplored territory.

There has never been an era in Lamborghini’s past when two of its models (Huracan and Aventador) were so close. The two Lambos are extremely close in terms of performance and this will evidently be illustrated in the dissections below. If you have never been behind the wheel of a Lamborghini on an open stretch of road, check out the various models of Lamborghini for rent on  Discover for yourself why some people refer to these as supercars.

Lamborghini Huracan

Huracan was made to replace Lamborghini’s sales leader and most produced car, the Gallardo. It has adopted a 2-door coupe and a 2-door spyder body style.

Lamborghini Huracan Spyder

Technical specifications

Huracan maintains a 5.2 L naturally aspirated Audi/Lamborghini V10 engine from Gallardo, turned for 602 hp (449 kW), and a torque of 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) with a top speed of 212 mph (314 km/hr.). It combines the benefits of both direct fuel injection and multi-port fuel injection to increase efficiency. Just like the Aventador, the Huracan opted for a mid-engine design for balance and better performance.

With a dry weight of 1422 kg (3135 lb.), the Huracan has a power to weight ratio of 2.36 kg per horsepower. It does 0 – 60 mph (97 km/h) with 2.5s, 0 – 300km/h (180 mph) at 27.6s and can brake from 100 km/h – 0 in under 30 meters.

The Huracan has optional “Lamborghini Dynamic Steering” that changes the steering performance from normal, comfortable steering to a racing feeling. With this, the vehicle is able to adapt to any suitable driving mode. The main control for changing the car’s performance according to driving conditions is the mode selector ANIMA (Adaptive Network Intelligent Management). this controls the engine, the transmission, LDS, the All-Wheel Drive, the suspension and the electronic stability control.

The Lamborghini Piattaforma Inerziale (LPI) carries out precise measurements of the vehicle movements using on board sensors (3 accelerometers and 3 gyroscopes)

Transmission System

The car has a 7 speed dual clutch transmission, the ‘Doppia Frizione’ gearbox. Huracane will only be available with an automatic transmission with no manual option.

It is equipped with magnetically controlled suspension system, utilizing magnetorheological dampers to swiftly change how the suspension acts. What else can one get with this apart from superior driving performance, comfort and sophisticated road handling should the vehicle be subjected to extreme road conditions.

Features a choice for full electric control and heating of the sports seats, in addition to the standard lengthwise alignment and electric backrest.

The infotainment system features a 12.3 inch TFT virtual cockpit available with HD 3D computer graphics, Bluetooth, google earth GPS navigation system and a multimedia interface-like menu and dashboards controls powered by Nvidia Tegra

The car has full LED headlamps which provides higher contrasts in night conditions.

It has a wheelbase, length, width and height of 2620 mm, 4459 mm, 1924 mm, and 1165 mm respectively. The chassis is made from Aluminum and carbon fiber hybrid with its body from Aluminum and synthetic materials. The external mirrors are electrically operated, heated and foldable. The rear fixed spoiler has been integrated into the body; completely paneled underbody.

The Huracan come standard with driver, passenger and side airbags. They are equipped with passive side protection system featuring a front and rear specific collapsible areas. The active safety system on the other hand is largely made up of electronic stability control (ABS and TCS integrated).

Lamborghini Aventador

The Aventador just like the Huracan is a mid-engine sports car. It is available in 2-door coupe and 2-door road star body styles. At its launch in 2011, the company announced the Aventador as the successor to the aging Murcielago.

Lamborghini Aventador Roadster White back view doors open LA rentalTechnical specifications

The Aventador LP700-4 series features the new 6.5 L V12 engine with a maximum power and torque of 690 bhp (510 kW) and 689Nm (508 lb-ft) at 5500 rpm respectively, and can attain a top speed of 354 km/h (220 mph). This is Lamborghini’s fourth in-house engine and a second V12 design. It has 17.2 L/km combined fuel consumption.

The Aventador has a power to weight ratio of 2.254 kg per horsepower. It does 0 – 97 km/h (60 mph) in 2.9 seconds and can brake from 60 mph – 0 in 30 meters.

It uses a single clutch seven speed semi-automatic transmission capable of accomplishing gearshifts in 50 milliseconds. Absolute brilliance. Just like the Huracan, its AWD is electronically controlled, offering traction and handling capabilities based on their fourth generation technology.

Steering and Suspension

Aventador is equipped with push rod magneto-rheological active front and rear suspension with horizontal dampers and springs. This suspension type takes the double wishbone fully independent geometry. Its steering system is hydraulically assisted with the LDS technology.

A close look at the Aventador shows how much of it is inspired by modern aircraft right from the extensive use of planar surfaces and sharp creases to the innovative and interactive TFT LCD display. A second TFT display at the center of the instrument panel is devoted to multimedia and navigation functions. Visibility is surprisingly good, given how low and wide it is and the cabin is easy to understand and operate. Boot space is impressive, but the storage opportunities are a bit clumsy as is evident from the miniscule glove compartment.

The chassis, engine bonnet, rear air inlets and the spoiler are made from carbon fiber but other panels are from Aluminum and synthetic materials. The exterior mirrors, just like the Huracan, are electrically operated, heated and foldable. The Aventador makes extensive use of planar surfaces and sharp creases which are in line with the company’s styling. Another notable aerodynamic feature is the rear electronically operated spoiler with three positions completely paneled underbody. The wheels are equipped with 20 inch and 21 inch DIONE silver forged aluminum alloy front and rear rims respectively. It has a wheelbase, length, width and height of 2700mm, 4780 mm, 2030 mm, and 1136 mm respectively.

Come standard with driver, passenger and side airbags with knee airbags only available for specific markets. The Aventador and the Huracan contain similar active and passive safety systems, both adopting the side protection systems and electronic stability controls (ABS and TSC integrated).
