Eat Your Heart Out At The Expensive Cars Of Famous Celebrities

Jerry Seinfeld

If Nicolas Cage has a long-standing love affair with Italian cars, comedian Jerry Seinfeld is love-struck with a German car. Of his 10-car strong collection, 8 of those were Porsches and 1 is a Volkswagen.  The remaining 1 is a Fiat. One of his most prized possessions is a Porsche 959, which is one of the rarest classic supercars models that are still in tiptop condition today. The famous comedian and TV actor reportedly bought the 959 at an auction for around US$700,000. His other Porsches include a 1955 Porsche 550 RS which has an estimated value of US$60,000-US$3 million and 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS with costs around US$500,000-$1.4 million. He also has a 1964 Porsche 911 which he bought at US$400,000 and had it restored by Cavaglieri Restorations for about US$250,000. Anyone could have purchased a couple of regular family cars with the restoration cost alone.

Most anticipated cars of 2019 Porsche 960

We’re living in the golden era of motoring. Sure, internal-combustion engines are on their way out, but they’re going out with a bang. Currently, the automotive spectrum of cars available is wider than ever. With that being said, here are our favorites you can look out for in 2019

I’ll go ahead and round this list off with a car which we know very little about. There have been speculations of a new mid-engined supercar from Porsche for years now, but we’ve only recently gotten a whiff of some hint details about it. It will sit above the 911s of the world but below the 918 supercar, slotting somewhere in the middle. Some sources suspect it will utilize a flat-eight, but that seems unlikely since they’ll have to develop a new engine. It’ll probably utilize a turbocharged flat-six from the GT2 RS and some sort of electric assistance, but the hefty price tag will reflect all that performance on tap too.

Next-gen Porsche 911

Nothing else defines the sports car segment like the Porsche 911 does. It’s arguably the most recognizable car on the planet, and it’s certainly the best sports/super car of all time. There’s a model variant to fit everyone, from the sane and refined Carrera all the way to the insane and mental GT2 RS. The next generation 911 will make its debut sometime next year, with a slightly tweaked exterior and some interior changes. The car will, undeniably, remain rear-engined. It’s what defines each and every 911, and part of what makes them so special. Porsche will probably opt to keep the current twin-turbo flat-six seeing they debuted it just last year, but the prospect of a plug-in hybrid 911 gets us excited. Seeing what a drastic effect on performance a hybrid drivetrain had in the Panamera, one can only assume a hybrid 911 will be even more ridiculous.
