Lamborghini Superveloce Jota Teaser Revealed Ahead of its Debut

The Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance is just around the corner and one of the highlights of the show will be the new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. The automaker has released a teaser image of the Superveloce Jota on their Instagram page giving us an exclusive insight of the phenomenal electric supercar’s exterior.

The Lamborghini Superveloce Jota is set to replace the Aventador and will supposedly be the last Lambo powered by the naturally-aspirated V12 engine. It will carry a robust 6.5-liter V12 engine that will generate 760 horsepower and 531 lb.-ft of torque. The powertrain has been reworked and includes new titanium intake valves and ducts as well as an enhanced exhaust system with reduced back pressure. As a result, the supercar will offer an extra 20 horsepower and 22 more lb.-ft torque compared to the regular Aventador SV. It will still have the single-clutch transmission system.

The teaser image shows some interesting aerodynamic updates on the SV Jota such as the extractor vents and the hollow rear spoiler. Reports indicate that the SV Jota features the 2nd generation of the active aerodynamic system (ALA 2.0) for improved downforce. Moreover, it is noticeable from the teaser shots that the Lamborghini SV Jota will incorporate a number of carbon fiber elements to keep the overall weight of the supercar low. It is expected to weigh approximately 3,362 pounds (1,525 kilograms) which is almost the same as the Aventador Superveloce.

Considering the automaker’s electrification plan, experts believe that this might be the last non-hybrid Lamborghini as all the future models will boast an electric or hybrid powertrain.

We are expecting Lamborghini to unveil official information about the Superveloce Jota at the Pebble Beach event which will take place on August 26, 2018.
