Lamborghini Superveloce Jota Teaser Revealed Ahead of its Debut

The Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance is just around the corner and one of the highlights of the show will be the new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. The automaker has released a teaser image of the Superveloce Jota on their Instagram page giving us an exclusive insight of the phenomenal electric supercar’s exterior.

The Lamborghini Superveloce Jota is set to replace the Aventador and will supposedly be the last Lambo powered by the naturally-aspirated V12 engine. It will carry a robust 6.5-liter V12 engine that will generate 760 horsepower and 531 lb.-ft of torque. The powertrain has been reworked and includes new titanium intake valves and ducts as well as an enhanced exhaust system with reduced back pressure. As a result, the supercar will offer an extra 20 horsepower and 22 more lb.-ft torque compared to the regular Aventador SV. It will still have the single-clutch transmission system.

The teaser image shows some interesting aerodynamic updates on the SV Jota such as the extractor vents and the hollow rear spoiler. Reports indicate that the SV Jota features the 2nd generation of the active aerodynamic system (ALA 2.0) for improved downforce. Moreover, it is noticeable from the teaser shots that the Lamborghini SV Jota will incorporate a number of carbon fiber elements to keep the overall weight of the supercar low. It is expected to weigh approximately 3,362 pounds (1,525 kilograms) which is almost the same as the Aventador Superveloce.

Considering the automaker’s electrification plan, experts believe that this might be the last non-hybrid Lamborghini as all the future models will boast an electric or hybrid powertrain.

We are expecting Lamborghini to unveil official information about the Superveloce Jota at the Pebble Beach event which will take place on August 26, 2018.

Porsche 960

Most anticipated cars of 2019 Porsche 960

We’re living in the golden era of motoring. Sure, internal-combustion engines are on their way out, but they’re going out with a bang. Currently, the automotive spectrum of cars available is wider than ever. With that being said, here are our favorites you can look out for in 2019
I’ll go ahead and round this list off with a car which we know very little about. There have been speculations of a new mid-engined supercar from Porsche for years now, but we’ve only recently gotten a whiff of some hint details about it. It will sit above the 911s of the world but below the 918 supercar, slotting somewhere in the middle. Some sources suspect it will utilize a flat-eight, but that seems unlikely since they’ll have to develop a new engine. It’ll probably utilize a turbocharged flat-six from the GT2 RS and some sort of electric assistance, but the hefty price tag will reflect all that performance on tap too.

Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster

The Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster In 2013 Lambo announced the Aventador Roadster, which got even more attention than the standard Coupe iteration, if that was at all possible. It retained the “standard” Aventador V12 engine, which meant it could sprint to 62 mph in 3 seconds and go on to 217 mph. Thanks to a unique carbon-fiber removable roof the roadster manages to only carry an additional 50 kilograms when compared to the coupe.

Chevrolet Corvette C8

Most anticipated cars of 2019 Chevrolet Corvette C8

We’re living in the golden era of motoring. Sure, internal-combustion engines are on their way out, but they’re going out with a bang. Currently, the automotive spectrum of cars available is wider than ever. With that being said, here are our favorites you can look out for in 2019

After half a decade the Corvette is finally making the switch over to a mid-engined layout. The guys over at Chevrolet did an amazing job with the C7 ZR1, extracting every bit of performance that chassis had to offer. Realizing there’s not a whole lot of improving to be done on an FR-layout, Chevrolet is now making the switch and chasing the likes of Audi’s R8 and Ferrari’s 488. The new Corvette is going to be faster, lighter and more nimble that its predecessors, but also probably a little more expensive. It’s moving over into new territory which has traditionally been occupied by the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini. If the latest ZR1 is any indication as to how good of a job Chevrolet is doing at the moment, rivaling manufacturers have to keep one eye on the new Corvette C8 and pray that it has mercy when it makes its debut later next year.

Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe

Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe

Production of the Aventador started in 2011 with the regular Coupe version. When it first made its debut, people couldn’t get enough of its crazy styling, but it was the screaming V12 which captured the true essence and character of Lamborghini. A 6.5-liter V12 monster residing in the middle of the Aventador produces 700 horsepower and 509 lb-ft of torque, without the assistance of any kind of electric motors. Coincidentally, it was also the first all-new V12 Lambo unit since the 3.5-liter found in the 350GT.

Lamborghini opted to stick with a single-clutch seven-speed transmission rather than a more modern dual-clutch, for two reasons. One, a single-clutch unit is lighter, but it also fits the Aventador’s savage character a lot more.
