Repo Man is a 1984 science fiction film about a young punk rocker and his friend who get caught up in the world of car repossession. The film was directed by Alex Cox and stars Harry Dean Stanton, Emilio Estevez, Tracey Walter, and Olivia Barash.

The story is set in Los Angeles in the year 1984. Otto (Emilio Estevez), a young punk rocker, gets a job as a repo man with Bud (Tracey Walter), an old-timer who has been at the game for years. They work for the powerful auto company Global Motors which has been hiring repo men to steal back its own cars from buyers who have not made their payments.

A man named Bud drives up to him on the street and offers him $25 to take his car out of the neighborhood and a repossession man’s job. Reluctant at first, he finally accepts out of desperation for money. He meets a young, beautiful woman named Leila, who tells him about the outlandish but deadly contents of a Chevy Malibu trunk. Otto soon learns that his repossession agency has been offered a $20,000 bounty notice for that very car. Most assume that the car is drug-related but they’re in for a shocking reveal.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
